WordPress websites for small nonprofits
I'm Geoffrey Lowthian. I build WordPress websites for small nonprofits and social and environmental justice organizations.

What you get
A site shaped around your organization.
Every site starts with listening to how you work, what you need, and what's getting in the way.
A site your staff and volunteers can actually update.
Small nonprofits deal with staff and volunteer turnover, infrequent updates, and a budget that has to stretch. I design for that, so it's easy for whoever is on your team to log in, make a change, and get back to the work that matters.
Training as part of the plan.
I'll work at your pace and show you how to add new content while I rebuild the design, so your team owns the site.
Care after launch.
Ongoing maintenance and support after launch.
In our partners' own words
"LDW's staff trained our staff to build, edit and maintain the site's function. Our staff takes ownership in our web presence and feels empowered and competent to make improvements."
"What we have now is an up-to-date site that users tell us is very accessible and helpful. And we can update it easily ourselves."
How a rebuild works
- Review your current site: navigation, mobile, forms and donations, speed.
- Review the design with your favorite example sites and feedback from your board and supporters.
- Plan it together. No "tada" reveal. I set up a test site and move your essential content.
- Build, checking in with you at every step.
- Train your team so you can manage and update the site with confidence.
- Maintain: security updates, backups, platform upgrades.
- Peace of mind: ongoing support for as long as we work together.
What it costs
I keep the build price very affordable on purpose. My business is built on long-term partnerships, not one-off projects. An affordable start makes it possible for small organizations to get a site that actually works, and then we keep it working together. That's a big part of why my partners stay. Some have been with me for over twenty years.

Our nonprofit website is outdated and hard for staff to update. Can you rebuild it?
I review your current site, move your essential content to a test site, and rebuild it with you on WordPress. Then I train your staff so updating it is simple.
How do I find a web designer who understands nonprofits and fits a small budget?
Look for someone with real nonprofit partners you can contact, clear published prices, and support after launch. See my nonprofit plans and pricing.
